A New Paradigm for Tourism - The Case of the Balearic Isles

The Blue Economy searches for new business models that change the rules of the game. Over the past few years Guillem Ferrer, creator of the Poc à Poc Foundation invited Gunter Pauli to Palma de Mallorca to share his vision with hundreds of thought leaders, activists, business entrepreneurs, academia, teachers and media. This lead to the challenge to imagine a future for tourism, one that generates multiple benefits, builds social capital, recovers traditions and culture, while generating jobs with what is locally available.
