Zero Emissions Research & Initiatives (ZERI) is a global network of creative minds seeking solutions to world challenges. The common vision shared by the members of the ZERI family is that we wish to respond to the basic needs of all with what is locally available. We embrace innovative business models that generate multiple benefits, increasing productivity while generating jobs.

 

The ZERI Foundation is since 2001 a Network, and it serves as an antenna in the world economy identifying the high growth industries of the next decade. When there is a crisis, many businesses suffer, but some thrive. Which are the ones that are the job providers of the future? Which are the innovations that will change the business models? Which new business models change the rules of the game?

 

With contacts on four continents, with nearly 200 projects that have demonstrated over the past 20 years where the opportunities are, ZERI offers insights to government on which sectors to attract, to companies which market niches to focus on, and to communities how to secure the continued build-up of social capital. We do this through a scan - identifying all opportunities, a screen - narrowing these down to the ones everyone agrees on, and a decision to implement. We have a deep ethical commitment to open source since we believe one cannot convert solutions for a better world into proprietary know-how that is protected by non-disclosure agreements.
